Auctions for a good cause

Fine Spirits Auction, in partnership with the GoodPlanet Foundation, organised an auction from 21 October to 3 November on the occasion of Whisky Live Paris 2023.

This solidarity initiative followed on from the success of the 2022 edition, which raised no less than 128,000 euros. This year's one featured 22 unique lots, including two Plantation rums.

Plantation Clarendon MMW 1995 Jeroboam

The first lot, a jeroboam of Plantation Clarendon MMW 1995 (Monymusk Wedderburn), was sold for €3,698 after 43 bids.

This Jamaican rum, aged for 24 years in a tropical climate before continuing its maturation in Cognac casks at Maison Ferrand, is a true rarity.

Its rich, intense flavour profile and high ester content make it a connoisseur's choice.

Cask Plantation Australia 2009 - Barge 166 x Dayoung Jeong

The second lot was a 30 litre cask of Plantation Australia 2009. It sold for €3,459 after 19 bids.

From the Beenleigh distillery, this rum is aging on board of our Barge 166, Maison Ferrand's floating cellar, and will be bottled in personalised bottles (around 50).

This lot also includes an empty cask painted by the Korean artist Dayoung Jeong, adding a unique artistic touch to this exceptional rum.

Plantation's Commitment

These unique auctions underline the importance of combining our passion for spirits with a commitment to the environment.

Through these exceptional lots, Plantation and Maison Ferrand wish to continue their commitment to ecological and solidarity initiatives, offering spirits lovers the opportunity to contribute to a better world.

All proceeds from this sale will go to the GoodPlanet Foundation, created by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, which works on environmental and social projects around the world.
