The Ferrand team is delighted to announce the public opening of the Citadelle Gin Distillery on May 2nd! After months of hard work and construction, despite sometimes difficult weather conditions (including rain and bad weather), with feet in the mud and hammers in hand, the Citadelle Gin Distillery is finally opening the doors to its new visitor centre.
An invitation to the heart of French Gin
During your visit, you'll be immersed in the world of Citadelle, France's leading craft gin since 1996 and winner of the World Gin Awards for the best gin in France. Discover every stage of its creation, from the harvesting of the juniper berries opposite the Château de Bonbonnet, where more than 2,500 certified organic juniper trees grow. You'll also visit our greenhouse, full of the citrus and aromatic plants used in our recipes. Then on to our cellar, where barrels of some of our most unique gins are aged.
But that's not all!
You'll also be able to talk directly to our team (and maybe even taste some gems straight from the casks!), take part in introductory workshops on blending techniques, discover our secrets on the progressive infusion of our botanicals and gin distillation, and each visit will end with a tasting of our full range.
At Ferrand, our passion for taste and knowledge comes first. It's what drives us every day: learning and creating delicious spirits. During this experience, we want to share this passion and our commitment to quality and craftsmanship with you. Afterwards, enjoy lunch under the juniper trees or in the gardens of the Château de Bonbonnet, and sip creative cocktails at the distillery bar, on our copper counter shaped by the coppersmith who restored our old stills!
A destination for everyone
At Maison Ferrand, we love to entertain and share our passion for spirits with you. The Distillerie de Citadelle Gin aims to be a meeting place and we are particularly excited by the idea of finally opening our doors to you all year round. It's a new chapter for Citadelle and we're delighted that you can write it with us!
If you're curious about what Distillerie de Citadelle Gin has to offer, book your visit now on our website citadellegin.com (NB: Tours will be available in several languages, including English, French and Spanish).
We look forward to welcoming you!
